We ended up with a 14 day cruise due to Hurricane Harvey causing Galveston port to be closed till 9/1/17. Carnival Cruise Line really stepped up and took care of the passengers. They really kept us informed daily about what was going on in Texas and about flooding.

Food and Dining

The crew was wondeful, and considering that Hurricane Harvey caused our 7 day cruise to extend to a 14 day cruise --the staff was faultless in keeping up the wonderful service throughout it all.

Service and Staff

Everyone we were involved with was outstanding. At dinner, Miran was tireless in meeting the needs of our table of 6 and was always there with a smile!
Beautiful, but the Thriller speed boat to Isla Pasion is overpriced. The speedboat ride is the highlight of the excursion. The vendors at the island tried to shanghai me by trying to sell me a bottle of Off (regular formula) for $25! The jerks were seriously out of their mind. Don't support them by buying anything from them. Meanwhile, the food that was served was pretty good, the drinks were so-so that were included, the waiters were excellent and friendly and very attentive.
We did the kayaking at Bacab Eco Park and it was great! The guides were very attentive and friendly, the food was pretty good. The park itself is very nice.
Walking to the beach is a free and good way to enjoy a few hours at the beach. Massage on the beach is available for $45 for 1 hour. Showers and foot wash stations are also available at no extra charge.
