Review summary

The cruise was a lot of fun. We had the most fun when the ship was at port and there wasn't as many people on board. We signed up for a 7 day cruise and ended up being stuck for 13 days due to hurricaine harvey. Carnival handled the hurricane situation very well and made sure we were fed and safely away from the storm. I wish they would have extended our drink cards with it though. Lol. The drinks were so good. So even though it was an accidental extended vacation and I'm still struggling to get caught up financially from missing too much work, we had a great time and would definitely go on another cruise through Carnival

The main dining room food was amazing. The restaurant were great. The Buffets honestly needed some work. Did not have a very good variety in my opinion.

Onboard Activities

We enjoyed the pools and hot tubs when they were not over ran with unruly children. Same with putt putt course. We spent a lot of time in the casinos and listening to music in the atrium and in the red frog pub. Jerry's classic country was amazing

Our waiter in the main dining found out that I was really sick the last few days on board and sent me hot year with lemon and honey to make me feel better. Very thoughtful and kind.

The bed was not very comfortable and kept coming apart in the middle. The cabin was very small. When we first arrived there was a huge wet spot in the floor but the crew on board we very quick to take care of it

We did a tour of the Mayan ruins. Our guide Patty was great. Really everyone at this stop was great. Due to Hurricaine Harvey we had an extra day in Cozumel. We just walked atriums everywhere and explored. Had an amazing time here. Food was great too. Water was beautiful. We are definitely coming back to Cozumel at some point

We did not book an excursion here. Tourist area was dirty and run down. The water looked dirty. The people here were too pushy. Did not like this port

The drink cards are charged based on the length of the cruise. Maybe they didn't allow you to buy the additional days for fear they'd run out of booze or soft drinks!

Breeze

Safe despite Harvey

We were on the Carnival Breeze for the extended cruise during Hurricane Harvey. That was the best cruise ever! Mike Pack and the entire Carnival team were awesome. They took great care of us and never stopped smiling. #Carnivalforlife
