A: if you are able to walk a lot you should be fine. one is in front of the other. but it is a long walk. Vista is usually at terminal 1 Dream at 2 on Saturdays.

Answered by babygrljaz on June 17, 2023

A: Having had to do this once (my Uber driver let me out at the wrong place), I can tell you that it is definitely doable for anyone with any sort of mobility. However, trying to do so in mid-August Texas heat and humidity was not a fun experience. I re... commend you bring a bottle of cold water with you when you debark the Vista.See More

A: If you want your car broken into, try Gaidos. 😂 If you can afford to cruise 14 days, you can afford to pay for parking. Good luck.

Answered by OGWonderWoman on June 16, 2023

A: Car break-ins are pretty common in Galveston. I wouldn't leave my car at any of the hotels. Secured parking only for us.

Answered by daisydoozy on June 16, 2023

A: I don’t think many hotels in Galveston offer free cruise parking or shuttle. Maybe an expensive resort. I would get a good hotel deal in Texas City and then park at the port or “Galveston Park N Cruise.”

Answered by Texasmom22 on June 16, 2023

A: We were rear ended @ EZ in a new car. The car parked behind was gone when we got there. They tried to tell me my luggage scathed the bumper. Not.

Answered by Kracka on June 16, 2023

A: Depending on how far you're traveling, a car rental may do the trick. Look for the closest car rental to the port of Galveston and drop off.

A: My DW and myself have stayed at 6 different hotels in Galveston, parked and used their shuttles to and from the ships. All went fine. Nice to not worry about the car. However, prices have gone up for the hotels and you have to research the hotels for... what they cost and what they offer. Some have free shuttles, some charge and others don’t offer any at all. So if you find a hotel that you can afford make sure they offer the extra parking you want first then go from there.See More

A: We stay at Best Western Texas City. it's right off the hwy and 15 minutes to port. The hotel is clean. priced well and offers breakfast. It has Gringos Mexican restaurant in the same lot.

Answered by mary0909 on January 6, 2023

A: You can get free parking for the duration of your cruise by calling direct and booking a room at Gaido’s Seaside Inn. It’s an older hotel but very clean and close to the Seawall and beach. They also offer a great homemade hot breakfast buffet. Only m... inus is that it gets a lot more pricey during holidays and the summer. Another option is to stay near NASA - we have had good luck staying at the Quality Inn in Seabrook, about 30 minutes away from Galveston. You can visit NASA the day before or after your cruise - it’s historical and most older kids love it.See More

Most recently we cruised from Stockholm, Sweden and we did the testing there. You can order eMed Test Kit from “store.optum.com” for $69.99 per two tests. Test is Abbott BinaxNOW.See More
