A: Yes. I have used it often. There are multiple choices including covered. The cheaper lots are further but the shuttle is fine. The Port website has maps and you can reserve a space. Often I get a discount coupon.

A: Having had to do this once (my Uber driver let me out at the wrong place), I can tell you that it is definitely doable for anyone with any sort of mobility. However, trying to do so in mid-August Texas heat and humidity was not a fun experience. I re... commend you bring a bottle of cold water with you when you debark the Vista.See More

A: If you want your car broken into, try Gaidos. 😂 If you can afford to cruise 14 days, you can afford to pay for parking. Good luck.
Answered by OGWonderWoman on June 16, 2023
A: Car break-ins are pretty common in Galveston. I wouldn't leave my car at any of the hotels. Secured parking only for us.
Answered by daisydoozy on June 16, 2023
A: I don’t think many hotels in Galveston offer free cruise parking or shuttle. Maybe an expensive resort. I would get a good hotel deal in Texas City and then park at the port or “Galveston Park N Cruise.”

A: My DW and myself have stayed at 6 different hotels in Galveston, parked and used their shuttles to and from the ships. All went fine. Nice to not worry about the car. However, prices have gone up for the hotels and you have to research the hotels for... what they cost and what they offer. Some have free shuttles, some charge and others don’t offer any at all. So if you find a hotel that you can afford make sure they offer the extra parking you want first then go from there.See More

A: if you do the "park and walk" at EZ cruise and get their 10% sign up bonus, it will get you down to $110 for the week. For park and walk, you drop off your luggage and group at the terminal and then the driver goes to park-and walk back.

A: I wouldn't recommend a Houston Hotel unless there's a particular attraction or Museum you want to go. also look at motels with a Webster or Texas City address since they are much closer to Galveston but are still priced right. one advantage of some... Galveston hotel is free parking and our shuttle to the port so ask that question if that's of interest to youSee More

A: We stay at Best Western Texas City. it's right off the hwy and 15 minutes to port. The hotel is clean. priced well and offers breakfast. It has Gringos Mexican restaurant in the same lot.

A: You can get free parking for the duration of your cruise by calling direct and booking a room at Gaido’s Seaside Inn. It’s an older hotel but very clean and close to the Seawall and beach. They also offer a great homemade hot breakfast buffet. Only m... inus is that it gets a lot more pricey during holidays and the summer. Another option is to stay near NASA - we have had good luck staying at the Quality Inn in Seabrook, about 30 minutes away from Galveston. You can visit NASA the day before or after your cruise - it’s historical and most older kids love it.See More

Q: So the testing for us coming from UK continues to be very difficult to source. There doesnt seem to be any testing at the airport, only through security into departures. So it seems onpoint is very popular with testing however the next hurdle is where can we buy the tests. The majority appear to be postal however, they do not post to the UK. We are staying Seawall side and arrive 3 days before cruising, any ideas where we can get them please?

A: You can go to any pharmacy even the ones in Walmart and Target and buy an antigen test. Just don't open it till they tell you to when on the teleservice call.

Answered by angie007az on August 2, 2022
A: We have had good success using the home testing service recommended by RCCL. When we travel internationally we purchase the tests ahead of time and do the testing in the hotel day prior to embarking. Make sure the hotel has WIFI, which is needed to c... onduct the test. Most recently we cruised from Stockholm, Sweden and we did the testing there. You can order eMed Test Kit from “store.optum.com” for $69.99 per two tests. Test is Abbott BinaxNOW.See More
