We stayed at Guido's on the seawall and provided free parking, but no shuttle service, cab or Uber. Nice place if you want to be near the beaches.

we stayed at Howard Johnson's left the car there it didn't cost anything took an Uber to the cruise line

My DW and myself have stayed at 6 different hotels in Galveston, parked and used their shuttles to and from the ships. All went fine. Nice to not worry about the car. However, prices have gone up for the hotels and you have to research the hotels for what they cost and what they offer. Some have free shuttles, some charge and others don’t offer any at all. So if you find a hotel that you can afford make sure they offer the extra parking you want first then go from there.

Yes we stayed at Harbor house and left our car there. I believe it was 15 dollars a day. It is right at the terminal and they have a shuttle that will take you to the ship or you can just walk
