A: There is indeed Port Parking ! Very convenient, and comes at a quite reasonable price tag. Maybe there will be a bit of traffic in the early morning, but overall it was pretty great !

A: Since you will be the only ship going out of the port at the time of your cruise, you will be parking in the garage which is very convenient. It’s $30 a day. You will get a parking ticket when you enter the garage. You will need to take your ticke... t with you on the cruise. When your cruise is over, you will use one of the kiosks outside the garage to put your ticket in to pay. Enjoy your cruise!See More

A: They are mainly using the parking garage for handicap parking only now. You have to park in the lots past the garage. If you get there early enough, you can literally be right across the street from the terminal. That’s where we ended up in September... . There are two ships going out now so that is why they mainly use the parking garage for handicap only.See More

Q: We will be sailing out of Cape Liberty for the first time on Symphony. We are about 4 hours south of the Port, more if a lot of traffic. Do you think it best to stay at a hotel the night before and look for a hotel that allows parking for the week and provides shuttles or try to drive up morning of the cruise? I have read mixed reviews of the Port traffic, ease of parking and so forth. If a hotel is recommended, any suggestions? Thank you

A: We drive about 5 hours to port. Never had a issue. Easy driving the whole way with a restroom stop along the way. Leaving on Liberty the 29th.

A: Personally, I wouldn't stay in any Bayonne area hotel. Jersey City area is a maybe, but I don't have recommendations on which neighborhoods are better. Newark Airport area hotels will be a bit more expensive, but some offer vacation long parking as a... room package. Staying Monmouth or Ocean counties will save you room cost, but only if it's not yet (or after) beach season eith only an hour to 90 minute drive to port.See More

A: Usually we drive down the morning of the cruise from northern CT. For our 14 night cruise we did a hotel stay and park for the cost of just parking at the port. It makes for a relaxing morning. You can take your time, and not be stressed before even... boarding. Driving down the day of is fine but leave early. If you hit a traffic issue, it's ok, you have the time. Use your favorite mapping program when you leave to check for traffic issues and alternate routes.See More

NCL and Carnival have their contract for the Port Authority of NYNJ with the Manhattan terminal, not Cape Liberty. Q: I’m cruising out of Cape Liberty in May, on our return will be spending a few days in Midtown Manhattan, can anyone provide any advice on best way to get to Midtown? Taxis seem very expensive from the port can’t seem to find a shuttle services and public transport would be a challenge with all our luggage, any advice gratefully received :)

A: (part 3) As most Bayonne adjacent Hilton and Bonvoy properties have cruise shuttle service as well as Newark airpirt service. The only car/van service I can recommend is Dail 7 NYC.

A: (part 1) In the NY metro area transport other than mass transit is very expensive, no way around it. Rideshares spend more time on the surge pricing schedule than on "standard". Taxis & car services have very high ins. rates + million $ medallion fee... s, that trickles down to the customer. NYC hotels don't offer shuttles. Q: When we return to port my flight isn’t until 7pm. The excursion to EWR airport is sold out. Are there any ideas on what I can do all day with a rolling suitcase. Not sure if there are shops at or close to the cruise terminal to hang out most of the day. I’ve tried to find another excursion that picks up at the port and drops off at EWR but haven’t found any yet.

A: On all our cruises out of Bayonne (Cape Liberty), boarding began at 10:30. Post Covid we’ve had the 10:30-11:00 boarding time and arrive at the terminal at 9:45-10:00 to drop off luggage and park. By the time we do that and go through security and... the quick checkin process, we only sit for a short period of time before boarding.See More

A: For Park/Stay/Cruise packages start with trinityreservations. Almost all their bookings include cruise long parking and transport to the pier with your 1 night stay. But the locations are not within Bayonne as that is not much of a tourist area.

A: Though you are required to get timed tickets to take the ferry over to the islands there is no timed entry to either attraction. The national park dolcents do not regulate how long people take to tour inside either monument so allow at least 4 hours... minimum for the statue and another 2 for the buildings at Ellis, plus the transit time which varies depending on which pier you are leaving from.See More

Q: What was your experience parking your car at a lot near Newark airport? My family requires 2 cars which would be $60/day or $420 for the week. A: Off site surface long term parking near Newark Liberty International Airport will run you anywhere from $150-250 for a week (this is the total including luxury & sales tax not the just the come on pricing) unless you do a non-refundable reservation w... ith the lot or find a Groupon code/coupon. A: I took the Summit out of Jersey last summer and cruising the Statue of Liberty was listed as part of our itinerary. We did a couple passes of it and then eventually came to a stop nearby and did a 360 spin so everyone could get a look. If you just wa... nt to get a decent view of it that's probably good enough.
