I took the Summit out of Jersey last summer and cruising the Statue of Liberty was listed as part of our itinerary. We did a couple passes of it and then eventually came to a stop nearby and did a 360 spin so everyone could get a look. If you just want to get a decent view of it that's probably good enough. So check and see if it's on your itinerary.

Your itinerary is part of your booking documents and should of be handed to or emailed to the primary passenger listed. Updates to the orginal itinerary can be viewed online at Celebrity's main website in your Cruise Planner.

Lady Liberty will be visible from the ship while docked, but it's not up close. Sometime the Harbor Pilot will take the ship upriver to get a closer view but that's never guaranteed. If you want the full experience do book your tickets for the ferry and the tour online for the day before

the best bet like I said, you must have a ticket and an ID in order to access the statue. you have to take the ferry to the statue and you could get all the information online about it

You will see if from a distance on the ship. You should plan to go see it the day before if you can. It’s very impressive and moving to see it up close.
