We had booked an excursion on an old fire truck for a city tour but the truck had some mechanical problems and they had to cancel our tour. The town is a pretty seaport town with lots of shops.

We took the trolley bus which was fun. Around the port there are lots of shops and restaurants. It's a little edgy if you stray into some of the downtown areas however.

Acceptable. Excursion tour guide tried to be more of a comic than guide.

Took a great ride on a beautiful old schooner. Great chat with crew about operations on the boat as well as info on Portland. Land portion took us to a scenic lighthouse, great photos.

We road the mailboat to several islands to drop off mail and supplies. Got to view many homes from the water.
