Anne"s Bucket List

Sail Date: September 28, 2014

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Oceanview

My wife Anne loves Lighthouses and had always wanted to visit the Peggy"s Cove Lighthouse. Also to visit Boston. This cruse started in Boston and returned to Boston. We flew into Boston with out time to tour the city, but had to go directly to the cruse ship. Getting on board was an easy task because the check in lines were well handled. We visited Portland, Bar Harbor (BA HA BAA), St. John, and then Halifax. We took a tour bus out to Peggy"s cove to see the lighthouse and take lots of photos. On our return to Boston we had time to tour the city before our flight left for home. The ship was great, well kept, people friendly and always willing to help you with any problem you may have. Anne and I had a great trip and are now looking to book another trip to the next item on the bucket list. I think Alaska.  bye

Ship Quality
They took care that the ship was kept clean. Had washing stations everywhere. lol
Food and Dining
Our choice or reservations for meals or drop into the Windjammer almost anytime to eat or snack.
Service and Staff
Our stateroom attendent was a great guy. He made sure we got everything we asked for. He was very knowledgeable of our cruse and ports of call.
We enjoyed the on board entertainment when we had time to sit and view, but we were on the go so much that we did not spend much time with the entertainment.
Onboard Activities
Destinations and Excursions
Okay except for the fog in some areas that did not allow us a view.
Cabin / Stateroom
Very nice room. With the large window we could tell when we were coming into port in the early mornings
Boston, Massachusetts
Tour the city by bus. We had a very informative tour guide
Portland, Maine
We road the mailboat to several islands to drop off mail and supplies. Got to view many homes from the water.
Bar Harbor, Maine
Great restaurant and lobster. Fog was a problem for some on their tours.
Saint John, New Brunswick
saw the reversing water fall by train. Tour guide was well informed.
Halifax, Nova Scotia
Anne's wish came true. We saw the Peggy's Cove Lighthouse and took lots of photos with her in the photos.

The Solarium had coffee and breakfast that was great, but most people did not know that until near the end of the cruse.
