Q: I am going on MSC MERAVIGLIA out of New York, the ship is going to Miami but it arrives at 8 am. Does anyone knows how long we have to wait to get off ship? I want to book a off the ship excursion. I have to be at the place at 9:15am.

A: My guess us you won't make it! There is no set time! If the ship does not dock until 8, it still has to clear customs before anyone gets off. Then it will also depend on where you need to go to meet your excursion. If everything goes perfect you mi... ght make it. I would not book that early, but good luck!See More

They have an awesome pool, showers, beach, restaurant/pool bar ($) and we had a great day!!! Left around 6pm for Miami airport... for a 9:00 flight. All went well! Highly recommend Resort pass app. Not sure how to post photo but I took one of pool area while there…See More

A: I’ve stayed at the Confidante a couple of times, would definitely go for a day pass. It’s very nice, although not in the middle of South Beach. Another place I’ve stayed at that has day passes is the Kimpton Surfcomber. It’s closer to South Beach, an... d also has a good pool and beach. Like someone else said, look at ResortPass.com to see what’s available.See More

A: So it depends on which lot/garage you use and length of cruise. Which often depends on what cruise line. Carnival $22 per day at D E & F. RCL is more. https://www.miamidade.gov/portmiami/parking-information.asp

Q: For NCL Haven guests: What do you recommend as an appropriate tip for Butler and Concierge? I know it depends on their level of service, but just want some general guidance. Thanks.

A: You're in Haven. Why are you tipping out of pocket? That's what Prepaid Gratuities are for. If you people keep tipping out of pocket the lines are going greatly increase the Prepaid Gratuities. Stop it! You prepaid, that's enough! You're not being sp... ecial!See More
Answered by PaulzyJC on April 14, 2023
A: The butler and concierge aren't included in your prepaid gratuities, the room steward is. We tipped our butler $250, he was very accommodating even though we didn't ask for much. We tipped our room steward $100 anyway, he was great. Our concierge was... a bit annoying, we tipped him $100 simply because he's not included in the tip pool. Hope this helps...😁See More
Answered by necoach on April 14, 2023
A: I’d agree it depends entirely how much you use them. I typically give between $50-$100, but sometimes it’s nothing if I don’t get anything from them, particularly if I don’t use the concierge. If I ask my butler for breakfast a couple of times, or to... bring snacks, then I go toward the higher end.See More
Answered by Jerrec on April 14, 2023
A: For a seven day cruise I have always given $100
Answered by kimmee13 on April 14, 2023
A: The real question is how much you tip your steward and butler. It is entirely up to you, and how much service they provide. I generally do $10 each per day for my steward and butler. I don’t tip the concierge anything, unless they go out of their... way for me.See More
Answered by jpmato16 on April 14, 2023
A: Exactly what’s Pauly said. The Prepaid service charges, are the tips for all staff on board the ship. If you add them in advance to your reservation, it beats getting that additional cost at the end of the cruise. I feel like it’s always best to incl... ude them into your reservation so your not hit with any additional fees once the cruise is over.See More

A: Room access time has nothing to do with Loyalty level on Royal. All rooms open up at the same time after cleaning is completed, usually around 1 or 1:30p.
Answered by toma114 on April 3, 2023
A: And Grades, you must be special. The doors to the room hallways are usually closed, with a sign explaining. And for those who can't read, I've seen staff kindly ask then to leave the area and come back later. But I'm sure there are special people wh... o get in.See More

A: When we fly into MIA, we use the hotel's airport shuttle from the airport to the hotel and arrange a shuttle to the port at the hotel. Not sure how the "littles" would work with this. Rideshare may be a better option.
Answered by diamondplus4lyf on March 23, 2023
A: okay in Miami there's a la Quinta inn and you can leave your car there the whole time you're on your cruise that's the one at the airport I believe

A: Please read the post everyone. They are staying in Miami and need a shuttle to port Miami. There are no hotels near port Miami. You can stay in downtown Miami but they are staying at Stay bridge Miami airport. We cruise Miami a lot but only 2 of us,... so we take a taxi. October we will be using Carnival transfers. Probably cheaper with a shuttleSee More
Answered by hscarpol on March 22, 2023
A: We’re staying about 15minutes from port and our hotel has a deal with a cab company but it’s metered so we’re probably going to Uber on embarkation day. For disembarkation, NCL has a shuttle service which is about double the price but at least you’ll... know where to go and won’t have to worry about when you’ll get to the airport if there aren’t any Ubers…See More
Answered by LoFu on March 23, 2023
A: If the group isn’t large I would use rideshare. You can schedule ahead of time. Or if cruise line has shuttle from airport that could be another option.

A: if the entertainment is totally booked up, chances are good you'll still get seated if you just show up. Lots of people book up everything and show up for nothing. That was the case on our last cruise.
Answered by ASYoung on February 25, 2023
A: We did the touchscreens by the elevators. We were first-timers last year. This year, I have pre-booked online for a sea day.
Answered by Tinacrutch on February 25, 2023
A: I would do it as soon as you board. Recent reviews say everything books up fast.
