This was our first cruise, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! The food in the windjammer wasn’t too great, but not bad! That was my only complaint and I so look forward to cruising again with royal Caribbean ❤️
Had a few hours to kill before our flight so we took and air boat ride in the Everglades and we both loved it,

Easy and smooth embarkation. RCL implemented a new check in process. It went smoothly and our wait to board the ship was not long. There was a lot of people however it didn’t feel crowed.
I live in Fort Lauderdale and there's so much to do here. Would advise getting here 1 or 2 days ahead of time or before you depart. Hollywood Beach is a must. Lots of interesting local restaurants. In Dania Beach I would suggest Jaxsons for their homemade ice cream (huge delicious portions) and Grampas which is in the same area for breakfast. If you are there during the week visit The Museum of Amazing Things in Dania. $10 entrance and beautiful ceramics, glass, and art work.

Arrive a day early and take a narrated water cruise of the "Venice of America" and see the mansions and yachts from the water.

Great experience in our few days in Fort Lauderdale prior to our cruise. A friendly city!

There is a FREE trolley that goes around Fort Lauderdale. You can take it and explore before or after your cruise. Many locals, including myself have rode it all over. Also popping up everywhere , gold cart shuttles and bicycle carts. Skip the over-priced taxis
We stayed at the Residence Inn Cruise Port. Free shuttle from FLL airport and $8 pp shuttle to cruise port.

Embarkation and debarkation was a breeze. We didn’t have any special quick boarding status or THE KEY. I was impressed. Getting off there was a long line around 9:00 am but it moved quickly. We carried our own bags off and think that saved us LOTS of time looking at the sea of luggage at the port departure area. Getting an Uber out of the port was also surprisingly easy.
