Kids and adults alike loved the pizza in the Promenade. The Windjammer buffet has an extensive selection of foods. Some varying from night to night. I personally enjoyed dressing up formally for the formal dining room, but was disappointed to see others in sports attire on our last night.

Glad to hear that you're really enjoyed Freedom of the Seas. You have a lovely family and you certainly made a good choice in ship and cruise line for your family's vacation. We've been on Freedom 3 times and will be back with lots of friends and family in 2018.
The last night on most cruises is more flexible for main dining room dress codes since many guests have packed their resort clothing and are reduced to their travel clothes for the next day. This mirrors to the first day for those of us who are flying to, then from, the cruise port; more casual but still hygienic clothing is normal due to luggage delivery or pick-up.
