Review summary
the best part of any cruise is being on a cruise. We were on the Freedom back in 2008 and needed 6 nights to bump up to Diamond class and there was Freedom offering a 6 night cruise. Called Royal 2 months before the cruise and was able to book a balcony. I love the Promanade, love sitting and people watch. We are not fancy people so do not take advantage of Formal nights. We usually eat at the Windjammer or a specialty restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised at the variety of food served at night in the Windjammer. Tenderloin of beef carved right there! We enjoyed it so much we skipped the dining room another night. They also are trying lunch at Chops for 19.00. We tried it and for the price of one dinner we both had a great experience. Same food as at night but half the price! The ship is 12 years old but didn't show it. Was well taken care of. The crew was amazing, shout out to Nola, our room steward and Li in the windjammer.
LOYAL TO ROYAL. See you on the Serenade in October.
