Review summary

I always love sailing on the Allure--it is a beautiful ship. I have been on it twice and the Oasis once--they are very similar. Even though it is a large ship there is plenty of room to move around.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We were able t o get on the ship very quickly but we did have priority check in!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Love the balcony view--I will never do anything less!!

Ship tip

We loved eating breakfast and lunch at the solarium!! The food was great and the lines were short. The windjammer was a little crowded around meal times.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
I love getting on the ship at Port Everglades. It is one of my favorite places to get on a ship.

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Bahamas is okay--I have been there many times before so we did not do much.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
I have been to St Thomas a few times so we took the ferry to St. John's and loved it--we went through the ship.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

5 out of 5
First time here--we went on a tour and beach trip and enjoyed it. The scenery was beautiful.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We walked off and got off the ship by 6:45am. We had an early flight so we made it to the airport in plenty of time. The custom process is so much easier with the new app even though all they did was look at our passports. So much quicker!

Have been on the Allure twice. The ONLY time it was crowded was when there was "a sale" on the promenade. It took us 2 sailings to find everything. Would go on her in a heartbeat

Sorry to hear. Maybe they should do that when ship is dry docked.

our first 3 cruises with carnival but on the 3rd one, they sprayed the carpets with some chemical that interfered with her asthma and limited her enjoyment. other passengers with lung issues also had problems and carnival did nothing hence why we don't do carnival anymore

YSprings    7 years ago

oh we love carnival....I was pleasantly surprised...but need to get back on RC😊

dansu    7 years ago

shopping is good on rccl and unless u absolutely love what u c, buy it on shore. cheaper

dansu    7 years ago

did carnival 3 times. loved it. rccl better

Great time but wife prefers longer cruises and the drink package included with celebrity. did b2b oasis last year but first and last days at sea are rough and doing muster drill is a pain u know where

Seaskypeace    7 years ago

That's what we have heard. Possibly no more Carnival. That will be tough bcs we have enjoyed our cruises with Carnival.

YSprings    7 years ago

oh no, don't tell me that...that's how we got spoiled with the balcony...😂😂

dansu    7 years ago

No doubt. definitely. once you do oasis class all other ships seem irrelevant

It will be our first time on the Allure, with so much to see & do in one week, I'm sure we will have a great time.

No worries. bars on top deck too. and just a few short steps down to pool. No big deal. and it's sunnier up top which I prefer

DottieDiehl    7 years ago

Although I'd like poolside ( closer to bars ) I won't let that spoil our fun

dansu    7 years ago

ship is massive but never overcrowded. there is so much going on every minute that everyone is spread out all over. finding chairs on the sun deck, the top one, has never been an issue. toughest time tho is after your last port of call, everybody is looking to get their last few rays of sunshine before heading home. pool deck is more crowded than sun deck

It was a full ship but never had to wait ling in the dinner line Just like walking around a busy city

Seaskypeace    7 years ago

In other words, packed like sardines, lol.

WagsBLT    7 years ago

it was difficult to get a pool side seat. swimming isn't the easiest there. can lay out on a higher deck. easier to be in the sun deck and just cool off with the shower type areas.

YSprings    7 years ago

I have got to try this ship!!

DottieDiehl    7 years ago

Is it hard to get a chair poolside like on other ships?

Seaskypeace    7 years ago

That's good to hear. One of my concerns is how big it is. How many passengers. I don't want it to feel like it's crowded everywhere we go.
