Really enjoyed Butchart Gardens, but wish we had docked earlier so that we could have seen more of the gardens in the daylight.

Just walked around for 5 miles. Very walker friendly city from the port. This place reeks of civic pride . . . Within comfortable walking distance of the cruise port one can hardly find any graffiti, litter or the homeless beggars that are a problem in places like Jamaica.

We didn't have enough time to get into Victoria after our specialty dinning that evening. The walk into town from the dock is 25-30 minutes. We crossed through customs just to say we were in Canada, then turned around and went back to the ship.

Very beautiful country. Walked around downtown and it was gorgeous. Cute shops around (they take American money, but give you Canadian money return cash). Canadian money is a good souvenir, if your cheap. Gorgeous landscape all around.
