We were lucky to get in at 2:30. All the shops closed at 5. So actually got to see things. Big surprise!

Our ship arrived latter than expected to Victoria and we hadn't planned an excursion because we had been to Victoria before and saw the Butchart Gardens. So last minute we booked a bus tour of the area and planned to have dinner in town but the tour was late getting back to the ship. There was only one restaurant at the port which turned out to be very good but it was 10pm. We were disappointed in the tour.

Nothing against Victoria, had been there, done that on a previous cruise. My wife, daughter and granddaughter took an excursion to the gardens and castle which they enjoyed. The rest of us just walked to the harbor, took a water taxi to downtown, and walked around downtown.

We walked to the Empress hotel. The other excursions were very expensive.

Our least favorite. Downtown is not a clean city. Very crowded. Was unlike some of the other beautiful Canadian cities I have visited.
