Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was ok --- it's NEVER bad - but it wasn't EXCELLENT either --- the Buffet I think needed a little bit of improvement but really not bad at all!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
There were some days there was just nothing we could find to do -- a little bit boring AT SEA days -- but again wasn't that bad at all!

awesome awesome awesome as usual! Every NCL has been just perfect with that part. I believe his name was ANSEL WILLIAMS --- what a truly wonderful waiter and all around guy! He took care of all 7 of use the entire time --- we saw him everywhere and was just awesome!!!!!!!

well that's no fair! But on the Bright side.. Your going to Love Alaska!! The Cruise is Fun too!

BunnieBear    7 years ago

No. You're tied to the deal you put the deposit down for. I guess your consumer laws are different to ours.

AlaskanGal    7 years ago

I don't know much about price matching lol. We got in on a Special deposit last September, so jumped on that! We too have to pay off by June also. When the price of your Cruise drops down in price, you don't get money back or upgrades or anything?

BunnieBear    7 years ago

We don't get the price matching thing you do. £200 deposit and the balance had to be paid early June but no price adjustment possible without cancelling and rebooking which would mean losing the deposit, so nobody would.

Quite true! I never use the WiFi myself, and I got Prepaid Gratuities and a Shore credit. Then the price dropped so I got a dinner package and onboard credit :-P

BunnieBear    7 years ago

I know what you mean. Thankfully we got our drinks package as a promo for booking early. It was that, Free WiFi or speciality dining and we thought drinks would save us most.

lol, If I can Afford the bar :-P I did budget in a couple drink's. They should have Gold in them, cause the Cost so much LOL

See you at the bar ;-)

AlaskanGal    7 years ago

True, and we also board early :-D

BunnieBear    7 years ago

They were saying that sailaway signifies the start of your paid holiday but not seen anyone else saying that. We'll be boarding quite early so it is a consideration.

AlaskanGal    7 years ago

Hmm, that is a good question. I wouldn't think it would be so, if you have Already paid...

I read yesterday that NCL charge you for food and drink before you've set sail, even if you have the Ultimate Drinks Package. Is this true or was the writer mistaken?

AlaskanGal    7 years ago

NCL is the Only way to go for me! And Only Alaska! My Favorite ship so far, is the Pearl. Been on the Sun and Jewel(2nd fav).

kudos to you for so many Alaska visits. It must be even more special to you than it is to me (only twice).
