We tendered in and had a restful stroll around. Clam chowder was delicious at the fisherman's wharf.

We made our way down to the Mission San Carlos and Carmel by the Sea. Just off the ship is Old Fisherman's Wharf and just past that is Fisherman's Shoreline Park that will take you directly to Cannery Row.

You can walk to the aquarium if you're healthy. It's 1.6 miles. You get a military discount, but you have to ask for it.

Loved this city. Lots of sea life to see. Saw sea otters, seals and whales just out in the bay. The sea otters came right up to the ship. Very quaint

The tender process was ridiculous...could not get to Monterey until noon, with a 4;30 departure.

The heat wave continued... 95 degrees. We did the 17 Mile Drive / Carmel excursion through Princess.

They have to use tenders to get to the city. Beautiful place. Walked down the wharf and around the town.
