How we love the California Coastal cruises!

Sail Date: October 03, 2015

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

This was our first time on Royal Caribbean and we were both pleasantly surprised. The ship was beautiful and the staff was very attentive, friendly and helpful at every turn.  The balcony cabin on the 8th deck was comfortable with plenty of storage and the shower even had a glass door. The itinerary was fantastic with an overnight in San Francisco.  We rode the cable cars, ate crab cocktail on Fisherman's Wharf, and enjoyed a sundae at Ghiradelli Square.  I'm giving it 5 stars because this was a cruise we'd been looking forward to, particularly since RCCL rarely sets sail from southern California.

Cabin / Stateroom
Lots of storage. Great location!
Embarkation and Disembarkation
San Pedro was a mess, but that wasn't Royal's fault. Disembarkation was good, though.
Ship Quality
Destinations and Excursions
Onboard Activities
Children's Programs No kids!
Could have been better with more variety
Service and Staff
Can't say enough about the friendly staff on this ship!
Food and Dining
Monterey, California
You can walk to the aquarium if you're healthy. It's 1.6 miles. You get a military discount, but you have to ask for it.
