Review summary

If the weather had been better the ship would have been better. Lots of things about it were good but there was no wow factor. The staff, especially Willi the room steward were all very helpful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food in the main dining room was tasty and well cooked but presentation lacked a bit of style. The buffet, especially on embarkation day did not sparkle, lacking variety. The pastry section though was an exception being always inviting. On sea days there was only one restaurant open which resulted in long queues at times. Given that there were three main restaurants I would have expected them to open more than one on sea days when the weather was poor.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The gym was good and clean. Movies were up to date and well presented. One problem that showed itself when activities were staged was a lack of seating given that the weather was cold and most people chose to be inside. Pools were not much used due to the weather.

Ship Quality

Going up to then come down to find restaurants was a nuisance. The ship was always clean.

San Francisco, California

Best port we visited.Theapproch under the bridge is worth being on deck for. We had a ship’s tour to Alcatraz and Sausalito which was excellent and on the second day took the Love Bus tour which was highly entertaining and worth the money.
