Having lived in the city both as a child and later as an adult, while it has some great places to eat, things to do and see; it is not the city I grew up in, or worked in, and it is now, for me, simply a port where I board a cruise ship. It's sad, but reality.

The soul food was amazing, however I would not suggest visiting the french quarter beyond the Cafe Du Monde. It is very dirty!

Loved New Orleans, spent a few days here before the cruise, a very vibrant city, with so much to see and do.

We toured NOLA on our own. Due to the ship being late we had to carry luggage around for 4 hours.
