Great city. Excursion was well done by tour guide.

Port was colorful and vibrant. Optional excursion was described as scenic tour of lake, again miscommunication between local operators and Viking led to what was actually a pub tour. Ok for what it was, but not what was expected.

Nothing special at all and would have been better staying on the boat

We went around on our own, visited Christchurch and had lunch at Periwinkles and shared a cupcake at a bakery very relaxing!

Was very surprised at how nice Newcastle was. Beach is close to the CBD. Went to Fort Scratchley and Christ Church Cathedral. Can be a bit chilly if you are exploring on foot.
