Great cruise. Plenty of sea days to enjoy the ship's programs.

Fast, efficient and easy!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Crystal is excellent all the way around. Speciality restaurants are wonderful.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There is so much to do that you can't squeeze it all in. One nice touch is that all the cultural/current event talks are rebroadcast in your stateroom for the remainder of the cruise. Great speakers, fun golf clinics, terrific photo labs, even bridge lessons, needlepoint, dance lessons; something for everyone.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The best at sea. Broadway style shows are very well done and the daily evening entertainment is over the top. They continually bring onboard wonderful singers, performers, comedians, etc. We enjoyed every one!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Very personalized service. We have taken this ship before and many of the staff are the same, well trained, people.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship design and layout are excellent. Only 800 passengers when full so easy to get around. Only drawback is that while the ship was recently refurbished, it is older and the staterooms are small compared to some other lines. The new suites, though, are good size albeit expensive.

Cabin / Stateroom

We always choose this category as there are few rooms with an unobstructed view. You pay a little more but have a nice ocean view. We stopped using the same room with a veranda as the savings was substantial. There are plenty of venues to sit either inside or outside nicer than a veranda.

Ship tip

Diet for a couple of months before embarking! Plenty to eat and drink onboard. Great service.

Ports of call

Sydney, Australia

5 out of 5
Love Sydney as we have been there before. Beautiful. Similar to San Francisco Bay. Great shopping, restaurants, etc.

Newcastle, Australia

3 out of 5
Big city. Not all that interesting.

Hardy Reef, Great Barrier Reef Did not visit port

We were scheduled to stop but windy weather prevented the ship from getting close. Even worse, the catamarans that take you out to dive couldn't sail either due to wind.

Hamilton Island, Australia

3 out of 5
Tourist trap. Also very windy restricting out bay cruise.

Cairns, Australia

4 out of 5
Fun resort town.

Port Douglas, Australia Did not visit port

Again, weather prevented the ship from being able to enter the port.

Cooktown, Australia Did not visit port

Same weather issues as Pt Douglas.

Darwin, Australia

Not a lot to see.

Komodo Island, Indonesia

Dragons are unique for sure. Some people saw them, others did not. Luck of the draw. Uphill 1.5 mile walk each way. Very hot and humid. Anyone with an open would or a woman menstruating were not allowed off the ship as the dragons have a keen sense of smelling blood and will potentially attack.

Bali, Indonesia

3 out of 5
Beautiful setting but extremely crowded. Unbelievable traffic. Did visit a water temple that was quite beautiful. Wouldn't rush back.

Benoa, Bali, Indonesia

Same as Bali.

Singapore

5 out of 5
Not to be missed. Beautiful although very hot and humid. Spent 4 days touring around. Do not miss the Botanical Gardens and the orchid garden. Also not to be missed are the Flower Dome, the Garden By the Sea and the evening light show. Remarkable shopping centers for just about anything.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Well organized. Took just 10 min. Lots of people to assist.
