This was our fifth Viking cruise. Met wonderful people and saw new and interesting things. Staff and crew friendly, onboard entertainers very good. All crew diligently attempted to provide exceptional service. Please read details about the cruise ship and excursions thoroughly as many passengers had expectations not met, simply a result of poor and ineffective communication.

The pool area very hot and humid. Too many passengers “saved seats” early AM and only minimally used the lounges. Planetarium small but enjoyed the films
Entertainment

First performances of newly assembled vocalist group were energetic and professional. Enjoyed guest musicians. Viking band and instrumentalists fantastic.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff from previous voyages remembered us. Initially staff appeared reserved, by end of cruise part of the family!
Once in a lifetime ability to see Komodo dragons, unfortunately conditions of wharf not assessed and communicated properly. Passengers with disabilities should not attempt this excursion. Also local children begging and seeking merchandise should be controlled.
Again some miscommunication with arrangements between tour company and Viking. Included tour was not scheduled well, even the local guides thought were poorly planned. Optional excursion to jumping crocodile was fantastic.
Rainy day interefered with the bulk of passenger plans for Great Barrier Reef. Optional kitchen table experience to market with executive chef was well worth the cost, although excursion description and time commitment needs better explained. Personal calendar should reflect the lengthy dinner included. This dinner was incredible, prepared by 2 chefs. Felt like royalty!
Port was colorful and vibrant. Optional excursion was described as scenic tour of lake, again miscommunication between local operators and Viking led to what was actually a pub tour. Ok for what it was, but not what was expected.
