Our tour took us to Recoleta to see Eva Peron's mausoleum, the Boca for a short stop then on to a tango show and lunch at LaVentana. Excellent food, excellent entertainment and tango and a stop at Casa Rosada and the cathedral, church for Pope Francis in Argentina.

The boca is mesmerizing with all the building paintings and the people dancing, visiting the stadium was a thrill. Also the cemetery and the tombstone of Elvita Peron

We took Princess' Tigre Delta tour, an interesting change of pace - we were entirely unfamiliar with Tigre - after driving and flying and a long bus ride to our ship. A leisurely ride in and around an unfamiliar island community that left plenty of time to settle in for our cruise, significantly different from the urban Buenos Aires experiences others describe.

We spent 4 days before the cruise in BA which was nice to visit and see. Good walking city. We walked the Avenue de Mayo and were able to enjoy the Cafe Tortoni among many other things. We did not do a Oceania excursion

Beautiful city with friendly people. Upon disembarkation I participated in the Best of Buenos Aires excursion. Excursion included a brief city tour (about 1 hour) with stops at Recoleta Cemetary, a photo stop (you do not get out of the bus) in a few key spots around the city and then a stop for shopping (about 1 hour) near the soccer stadium. Following this we drove about 45 mins to an Estancia where we had a traditional Argentinian BBQ dinner and enjoyed Tango and Gaucho shows. The tour was a typical, large bus/large crowd cattle call. Too much time spent at stops, too many people at the places we visited. Quality of the lunch was good but the Estancia was overrun with at least 500 people all there for the same meal/shows at the same time and very minimal air conditioning in the large venue. If seated at any of the tables in the second row (seats were assigned by group) you could not see the tango show at all (though you could easily hear the music). There also was not enough seating at the gaucho show so people were having to stand and crowd for what little shade was available on a very hot (90 degree F) day. I would not recommend the tour at all. Also be aware following the tour you are returned to the airport at approx. 4:30 pm. For airlines in the EZE airport, you cannot check-in until about 3 hours before your flight so you essentially just have to sit with all your luggage in the lobby's very uncomfortable chairs waiting. There are some restaurants available and shops (pharmacy, convenience store, tourist junk/trinkets) but the seating is limited so you are taking your chance leaving your seat.
