Review summary

It is obvious that the overall rating is skewed in that the high rarings for all the ports make the rating higher than it should be. I would put the overall rating at a 3.0 (Okay). The Norwegian Star's has to address the quality of the food from it's restaurants and make it more appealing and tasteful.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The ship's specialty restaurants are over rated, only one which met expectations was the Le Bistro. Food in the other dinning room was OK, depending on the meal.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainment shows, performers were excellent. Our room was very tight for space, shouldn't be called a suite.

Children's Programs

have no kids

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room steward Madi was excellent, met all of our requests with a smile and efficiency. The dinning room waiters were all very good,

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
the process for using the tender-boats was not very good. In two ports the ship dropped anchored a fairly long distance on the docks and the process took longer than is should have.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Our cabin was very tight for space, shouldn't be called a suite. Our steward kept the room very clean and supplied with clean fresh linen every day.

Ship tip

Keep your cuisine expectations on the low side.

San Antonio, Chile

1 out of 5
The disembarkment was long and inefficient. The cruise description is Buenos Aires to Santiago. Getting to Santiago required additional cost transportation... the description is very misleading.

Doing this itinerary at the end of the month. How was wifi connection? Is it worth buying the ship's package? Your advice will be much appreciated.
