We had a wonderful time - we were very lucky to have incredible weather!
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Disorganized crowd in first room, got better but very very slow process!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We had five specialty restaurants included. They were excellent but I wouldn’t have paid extra for them. The regular restaurants were very good.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Enjoyed dance lessons, pool, jacuzzi, shuffleboard, walking on track around ship. Disappointed that indoor lap pool was part of spa (and not available without spa fee) on the day it was too cold for outdoor pool. Loved dancing every night in the nightclub and the Atrium.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Excellent!
Children's Programs
No children on board.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The service was excellent except for guest services which gave us the wrong information about final disembarkation process. The waiters and room stewards were great.

Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was more spacious than we expected! The only drawback was we could’ve used more drawers- plenty of room for them but only two in entire room. Lots of shelves but on one side of the closet so a little awkward to get to and see. We even had a bathtub which I did not expect.
Ship tip
Going westbound, select a cabin on the starboard side for the best views! Pack similar clothing items in large bags so you can use shelves more easily since there aren’t enough drawers.
We did a double decker bus excursion - not through the cruise- which was ok. Only $10. Then we hired a taxi to take us to the base of the glacier and a few other highlights the tour missed.
We did an excursion to Coyhaique and the Rio Simpson Park. We got to Coyhaique too early for the handicraft vendors in the plaza so we had a very short time with them when they set up. The park was interesting but overall the tour was just okay. Something must have changed to switch the order of the tour because we were supposed to sample Chilean snacks at a restaurant in Coyhaique at the end but no one said anything about it and we went there first. However we were all given a $23 refund on our account so I guess that was why.
We did the excursion to the Alerce forest and the German museum which were both interesting but we were a bit rushed visiting the museum and had a very short time in Puerto Varas. Our guide was terrific but the tour should be a bit longer to cover all we did. We had enough time in the port - the tour left 4 hours after we arrived- so I think it should start earlier and be a 5 hour tour, not 4. Also since everyone got back just in time for the last tender, we waited nearly an hour in an excruciatingly long line!
We almost missed the excursion we booked to take us to the airport because we were originally told we could NOT get off by ourselves early carrying our own luggage, so we were told to check it at the earliest time allowed which was cutting it way too close. Then we heard the announcement for walk offs an hour earlier than we were told we could leave! So we did get off earlier and found our luggage barely in time for the excursion. It would have been fine had they not told us the incorrect information- neither was self- assist walking off ship an option listed in their lengthy disembarkation sheet.
