If you have to book any excursions outside of the cruise line, avoid Happy Fish Travel. The tour guide was great but the booking staff at the port were rude, disorganized, and overcharged me when they "converted" the trip costs into the local currency to bill my credit card.

Mayan Ruins. We rented bikes for an hour and rode around town. We loved it and had a great time. It gave us a great look at how so many people live in Latin America. If you don't have a shore excursion planned, there is not much to do. We didn't see any beaches worth going to.

I enjoyed this port and it left me wanting to see more of Guatemala. The people seemed happy to have us there. I took the trolly tour and the guide was very imformative. I would like to go to the rainforest on another trip there.

We did not take any excursions at this port. The best part of our visit to this port was the terminal. The shopping there is a lot of fun. There was great entertainment by a marimba band and some young dancers. The farewelly by the residents/workers at the sail-away was a real hoot.
