The area around the port is terrible. Did not feel safe and was harassed at every turn.

I did the zipline while my husband took a boat ride along the canals. Both were exceptional--my husband really liked the howler monkeys.

Reminded me of the Big Island of Hawaii. Went to the Rainforest and Canal Cruise. Expensive but worth it.

No excursion but we got off to see what was going on at the port and there was a huge hot tent filled with touristy tat. But watching the comings and goings on the port side was fun.

We purchased a tour from Celebrity – Walk, Airtram in the Rainforest & cruise on the Tortuguero canal. We had small Caribbean lunch – very plain lunch. Interesting but I would not come back.
