We did the Bus, Train & Boat tour and it was wonderful. Would do this tour again.

We did the sloth sanctuary and canoe excursion, which was fun and interesting. The lack of an actual port though was disappointing. The only thing there where the ship docked was a little market to buy souvenirs.

Not much to say about the port here there's basically nothing. Our excursion was a ziplining canopy tour through the Vergagua Rainforest. The drive over towards the rainforest picturesque. This was hands down our favorite excursion of all of them. Especially since it rained the entire time made it even more challenging and fun at the same time.

This was a very interesting port. We went on the Caribbean Train, Boat & Bus Tour through the banana plantation on a 100 year old train and on the river where we saw sloths and monkeys.

Probably did not visits the nicer spots of this port. From our experience, we could only give it 4 Stars and that was because of the Rain Forest. However, gotta admit it was overpriced and certainly not in the same league with "El Yunque" in Puerto Rico. In El Yunque you could swim beneath the waterfalls (3 of them) and the trek through it's Rain Forest was much more scenic than in Costa Rica's.

Even though it rained through most of the tour we still had a great time. Come prepared with a rain coat and hood. We took the "Caribbean Train, Countryside & Tortuguero Canals" tour.

My favorite day of the cruise: aerial tram through the rain forest at Baurillo Castillo reserve. 2 hours on the bus, 2 hours in the reserve, more than 2 hours back to the port. Traffic! Never mind; until I die, I'll remember floating through that incredible rain forest. Saw a sloth and baby, and every plant in the tropical world from above, below, near hand and far. Our guide filled us all in on CR all the way. He was a delight. Did you know the National Georgraphic makes the Costa Rica aerial trams in the rainforest the number two eco travel experience in the world? I've always wanted to do it, and now I have! Those young people who are taking care of that reserve have all my respect.
