Ship tip
All of the staff was pleasant and very helpful at all times.
We have been to Grand Cayman many times and always enjoy the changes that are being made on the island to the better. We did not do an excursion as we know our way around the island quite well.
The port was very clean. We did the Sea Rumba Old City Day Tour which was very informative and lots of fun on the return boat ride to the pier with music and local drinks.
The was just a commercial shipping port with now shopping available near the ship. It was also pouring rain that day and we were happy to have not booked a tour.
This was a very interesting port. We went on the Caribbean Train, Boat & Bus Tour through the banana plantation on a 100 year old train and on the river where we saw sloths and monkeys.
This port was a bit commercialized, it was clean and the people were very nice. We had the pleasure of going on our tour with two of the best tour guides ever, Edder and Rito Gonzalez (not related, they said!). The tour name was Costa Maya’s Chacchoben Mayan Ruins. It was a walking tour with many steps to climb and amazing ruins while viewing spider monkeys swinging from tree to tree.
The port was clean with lots of shopping available for everyone. We took a taxi to the ferry pier and then a 45 minute ferry ride to beautiful Playa del Carmen, then took a 45 minute bus ride to the Tulum Mayan Ruins. Lunch was provided and the 14 passenger bus was air conditioned and very comfortable. This tour was well worth the time and effort.
