Review summary

i have NEVER been on a cruise where so many excursions have been cancelled— three of ours were canceled and four of my sisters were canceled (she and her husband traveled with us along with another of my sister’s). i feel at a minimum the cruise director should have addressed the issue but no mention was made oof the cancellations — i spoke with many Europeans that were extremely mad that the panama canal was canceled and no one on ship even thought to try and explain what happened.

we specially took this cruise itinerary to see the canal and that tour was canceled. no excuse given, very very disappointed in how it was handled — they canceled the excursion the night before our arrival

Cancelled excursions should not cost anything, other than the opportunity to choose an alternative, as the cruise lines reimburse the cost. I have experienced cancelled excursions on multiple cruise lines, however, there was always an explanation provided. Did you try the excursion desk for an explanation? We also never got the explanation from the cruise director but always got an explanation and all were weather related or due to schedule changes after a delay caused by medical emergencies.
