The only bad spot, the canal pilot androgynous drivers damaged two non essential parts of the ship. However, going through was quite the experience.

The experience of the canal locks was so interesting to me. Unfortunately, it started pouring rain just as we were going through, so I didn't get quite the up close views I had hoped for, but this is not the fault of the ship ;-)

We did an excursion that was twice as long as planned. We got off our ship after going through the initial locks and boarded a ferry to continue on to the other locks. This excursion was a Princess trip. We had a long bus ride to the ferry and then waited in canal locks 3/4/5 until a larger freighter could come with us. The Panama government does not permit locks to open until the area is filled and we were too small to be permitted through on our own.We didn't get back to our ship until @ 11pm. BUT... Princess had a buffet set up for us which we really enjoyed. Let others know to take a book, a deck of cards and snacks!

What a great experience . One of the top 3 highlights of the entire trip .being able to see passage thru the canal and having the local guide on board made for a excellent experience .
