Another poor town that is full of poor people. Our cab driver told us to never be alone and to watch our backs. We spent a day at a Resort though close to the military barracks - good choice!

Again this is a very dirty town. We rented a taxi to view the area and had an excellent taxi driver, but the town is very poor and garbage every were.

Must take a tour here too. Not much to see or do in port. We toured Panama City before and found this tour inferior in scope and presentation to our last one.

Do not venture out of the cruise port area by yourself. One cruiser tried to walk to the McD's, and was robbed. The excursions to the locks are safe. Most of the city streets were in the process of replacement making travel a little slow until we got outside of the city.

Go see the Miraflores Locks (also includes a museum and a movie on the history of the canal), then venture into Panama City for lunch (only an hour from the port). Skip the city of Colon.
