We just went onto the dock and rented a taxi. For $30 each (2) he took us to both canals and quite an interesting tour of places. We are not into excursions so this was plesant!

We didn't leave the port. Heard from others that taking bus excursion to Panama City is worthwhile; that the train the follows along the Canal was not!

Took a Princess tour to Panama City, across the entire country of Panama to the Pacific Ocean. Very nice.

Did venture off ship for a block or two . Made a return to ship as port area had nothing to offer and presence of police cars suggested visitors were not welcomed . Travel guide suggested town visit would be a bad experience concerning crime .

We took the ships excursion Two oceans by railroad. It was a 5+ hours. Most of which is by bus and only 1 hour by train. Definitely not worth the price of the excursion. Take one of the cheaper bus tours. It’s basically the same.

We had a wonderful tour of the Panama Canal (original locks) & toured the old walled city & "new town"!!! Our guide, Julian, was awesome!!

We didn't get off the ship. Looks like a small shopping areas. Relatives who took an excursion said that coming to the port by bus, showed how poor the area is. I'm not sure there is much to see outside of the port building/shops.
