Area was poor and dirty. I stayed very close to the ship.

skip it. the town is very under developed and if you take a taxi to the locks and pay the $5.00 fee to see the ships moving thru the locks your done.

Colon is a disgrace, wish we NEVER got off the ship here. The excursion to Panama City was WAY TOO LONG, sat in traffic for hours.

Another tour, Portobello and Agua Clara Locks, with too long on the bus and too little to look around.

You must take a tour in this town to see the Panama Canal/Locks. Otherwise the city is so poor and dirty to take in on your own.

The panama canal tour down the canal was all right, kinda long, kinda hot, the history was cool, just bring a hat or blocker, you are on the water, slowly going down river, for 3 hrs.
