Have been here before and loved it. Lots of nice sites to see. We love the nature aspect of the port, lots of Flamingos and Parrots.

Visit the area right off the ship which has parrots and other wildlife. Take a taxi to walled city. They will also tour you around. Better than ship excursions as the traffic is very heavy.

i had one of my best experience ever in this amaizing port. i made the right choice picking an independent compnay (Guianza Express: www.guianzaexpress.com) instead of taking a tour directly with the cruiseline (they were very crowdy) . it was operate it in a small group and the scenaries were great

We hired a local tour guide for like $50 to take us around and show us the real Cartagena! It was awesome. We ate amazing food and got to explore Old Town. Awesome port. They charge a fee to use public restrooms 😆 not a good exchange rate for Americans

The one thing was the air conditioning on the van ride, I would never go to Cartegnea again. My family went on the horse and carriage ride. We were Accosted by a pETa protester. The driver always stayed in front and we came back to our carriage wants to tell us about the history. We well made it out of the carriage and through a mob. Not fun! Then when we tried to tell our ship guest services he just said oh well.

The ship docks in a very "industrial" port but you do get nice views of the bay. We booked an excursion to the fort and also had a city tour. It was very nice. Lots of begging, which is hard to stomach. But still, we had a wonderful time.
