We took a taxi to the old city and spent the day roaming around. What a beautiful city! Stopped at a cafe for coffee and lemonade. Lots of street vendors pushing their wares but round a corner and there would be nobody. Loved the architecture!

We thoroughly enjoyed Cartagena and definitely want to go back again. We would like to have spent a lot more time in the Old Town as well as explore more of the city. The zoo at the port was also a very cool feature and was the only place we saw macaws on the cruise.

Our first time to South America! The walled city was interesting, the walking tour of the galleons turned souvenir shops, emerald jewelry store, church and museum were terrific, educational and colorful!

This would have been a five star port, but the street vendors are a huge issue. To get photos of anything I had to hold my camera well over my head and hope for something.

We took the catamaran to the old city. It was a nice boat ride, but be advised that this was a motorboat, not a sailboat. The walled city was cool, but we did not have nearly enough time to spend there and the street vendors hounded us constantly. The little cafe/shop area at the cruise port was nice for picking up souvenirs.
