Did the Hop on Hop off bus tour, booked through Norwegian ahead of time. Needed more time here at this port. Visited the fortress- very cool! Bad part about the fortress was that it is not handicapped accessible and after paying for my elderly but mobile parents, they could not make it up the steep slopes to explore the fort. Took walking tour of walled city, I would suggest a horse and buggy tour as its pretty spread out.

What an amazing city (department)! Only downside was the aggressiveness of the street vendors! The Old City and it's architecture is something not to be missed!

No planned excursion. Got taxi at the port down from $150 for 4 people on tour down to $70 and the driver was very good with history and even walking with us in the old city and telling us what is or is not a decent price for items. Very nice port entrance green area with animals.

Be sure to take a guided walk through the old walled city. See Manga, the Heredia Theater and Santiago Bastions. Visit Baloco Street for its colonial architecture. The Inquisition Palace was educational but hard emotionally for me to photograph what happened here. See the mansions in Cartagena, see the cathedral, Governor's Mansion, the old commercial district, the Customs Plaza & San Pedro Clauer Plaza

Cartagena, Columbia: We were an hour late because of headwinds and a late departure from the canal. But this is just the way things happen sometimes. We chose to go with a non-ship tour and wish we had picked a smaller group. You will see more if you stick with a group of 10 or less.

Beautiful city. We took a local tour which we signed up for on the dock. Boat ride to the city, then a guided walking tour of the Colonial City. Very nice. Beautiful City.

We have been here before. Old town is worth seeing. The fort and history and fascinating. We did a hop on hop off bus.

Very nice. Took the hop on hop off bus. Enjoyed the historic walled city. Vendors did not bother me. I was alone and came in a side entrance. Architecture is beautiful
