We had a horrible time here. We did hells rapid tubing. 45 min tinder ride waiting in line to get on a bus for 2.5 hours. Then the bus ride was an hour to the Rapids you are only in the water for an hour and the "rapids" are smaller than the local creek Rapids around my house maybe 5 min worth the hole trip. Then wait in line for an hour to get on a tinder back to the ship. I hear alot of good about Balize but that's not what we experianced. I would give it a shot next time but not leave the torest area.

This port was not very impressive. We were constantly haggled to buy things or purchase an excursion. We didn’t do an excursion there but I wish we could have. Unfortunately all the snorkel packages that we were interested in doing in Belize had sold out through Carnival before we could book one. We were told not to book outside of Carnival so we didn’t. It was an inconvenient port because the ship cannot dock there. I don’t feel like we actually got to experience Belize and I really wanted to snorkel there.

Butts up cave tubbing was awesome. Short hike through the jungle and fun ride tubbing. Bus ride through the countryside to get there gives you a lot of exposure to the people and their way of life.

Nice pier area. Excursion (kayaking through caves) was canceled due to high water level caused by excessive rain. Instead took taxi driving tour of Belize City. Driver very nice and helpful. City was typical third world city - not very nice. Some very bad streets. Really need to get outside of city and visit the islands of Belize.

We went to the Xunantunich Mayan ruins. Again, our guide was well informed and took the time to answer questions and explain the use of the temples and the way of life of the people who lived there.
