The side that we ported on there was only 2-3 shops and it took us 45 mintutes to get from the cruise ship to the island. It was not worth the trip

Water was dirty and port water was all mudding. We did city and run tour enjoyed tour.

We did not do an excursion this time. We spent the day at the port area. Ate lunch and had some drinks at the Wet Lizard. The food there was really good. The meat pies are amazing. Six bucks and you get 3 meat pies. The nachos are good. Two people could easily share an order. The first bar we stopped at had horrible service. The waitress basically gave us our order and we never saw her again. That place was You Better Belize It, I think was the name of it. Any way... if you want good service, hit the Wet Lizard. We wandered outside the gate to do some shopping. Again, I fail to understand what is so scary about that to some people. There are no police there at the gate with machine guns as I read on some post. We did meet a very nice security officer. Bought more Christmas gifts from some of the locals. I really enjoyed Belize. It is a beautiful country with some pretty amazing folks.

Altun Ha ruins - great excursion, bring bug spray, i was eaten alive!

Loved Altun-Ha, wish we had a little more time there. The coach was very modern and the road was excellent by developing world standards.

Any excursions include to visit Caye Caulker, it is one of our favorite in Belize. We used to take water taxi in the past, they are not dependable. Now we usually use cruise line’s excursion to be safe side.
