Great time on the Norwegian Dawn

Sail Date: January 25, 2015

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

This was our 3rd trip with NCL, 2nd on the Dawn. She's an older ship, but still gets the job done, has great layout, good crew.  The itinerary was awesome - 4 ports and just 2 days on the ship, one at the beginning and one at the end.  Food was good, typical for NCL, smaller portions(which we like, as its so easy to overeat on cruises) Crew was great, especially our storeroom attendant Christian, who took care of every need we had in our room.

Ship Quality
older, but well laid out. we preferred the layout of the Dawn to the Epic
Food and Dining
good, not great
Cabin / Stateroom
283 sq ft, spacious balcony and bathroom
Service and Staff
Christian, our stateroom attendant rocks!!!
Entertainment
we went to one show, it was terrible, we skipped the rest
Onboard Activities
could use more activities especially on sea days
Destinations and Excursions
Ruins in Belize, Snorkeling in Roatan, Salsa cooking and dancing in Costa Maya followed by a 20 dollar massage on the beach
New Orleans, Louisiana
spent the day after our cruise at cafe du monde, took a carriage tour, and did the Katrina/mardi gras museum. want to go back to take a cooking class at New Orleans school of cooking
Cozumel, Mexico
the passion island beach break was cancelled due to lack of interest, we went ashore and shopped
Belize City, Belize
Altun Ha ruins - great excursion, bring bug spray, i was eaten alive!
Roatan (Isla Roatan), Bay Islands, Honduras
catamaran snorkeling- best ever!!!!
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
Salsa and Salsa, with beach break

Tip

Deck 11 does get noise from the buffet directly above, if you book it, bring earplugs, we put them in at night and slept like babies. Room was great, so it was no big deal.
