First time I ever tendered. That was fun! We LOVE Belize! People are so friendly! We did a city tour and rum tasting. Definitely worth it!

This is a tender port. The port was ok. But our excursion to a small island was great. Free rum punch beautiful water. And there were dolphins all around swimming.

We chose to visit the Mayan Ruins on this excursion. The 2 hour drive to the ruins was long, but our guide was great! The history here is so interesting! I’m so thankful that I finally got to experience this! Seeing the Mayan Ruins has been a dream of mine since I was in high school!

Knowing there isn't much to do unless you go on an excursion and having a 4 year old (there are very few excursions available for little ones) we chose to do the Belize Zoo and Riverboat ride to view wildlife. I didn't expect much out of this tour but was pleasantly surprised. We had a good drive around the area learning the history, politics, and info about the area along the way, so we felt we really had been and experienced Belize. The zoo was actually really good and we saw lots of animals we have never seen before including a tapir and jaguar, up close and personal (our 4 year old even got to pat the tapir, Belize's national animal). The riverboat cruise was a fast trip along the river, didn't see a lot but did see 2 crocs, monkeys, iguana, bats, and manatees - although all we saw of these were brown snouts from a distance. If you want to learn about Belize, experience Belize and its wildlife this is a great excursion.

We went to the Lamanai Mayan ruins. Loved that we were able to climb one of the ruins and see 360 degree view from the top. Also got to visit several others - was great. Fun fast boat ride there and back and the food was yummy after. The bus ride was long, but we recieved so much information and pictures on the way there, it didn't seem as long as it was.

Tender boats were so much fun and almost a mini- excursion. The port is nice but also a typical port.

We did cave tubing in Belize and had a blast! Unfortunately though, if I ever happen to stop at this port again I won't be getting off the ship most likely. With the cave tubing, we had to take a bus about an hour out which allowed us to see some of Belize. the poverty there is so bad, quite sad to be honest. We were also offered drugs right outside the cruise terminal. I didn't feel very safe and was on edge most of the time. I guess this port would be what you make of it. We still had a great time tubing!

We had a great tour with Jenny and Epic Mayan Tours. We went to the wrong terminal and she somehow managed to find us in spite of it! Several other tour people did some calling to make it happen. I have wonder feelings about the people of Belieze.
