Very Clean, Best Shopping of all ports

Belize is somewhat rundown in appearance once to leave the port area. We took the river cruise, and that was pretty good. We were fortunate to see a couple of crocodiles, some monkeys and a number of iguanas. But, if you are looking to see manatees, forget it. They barely break the surface of the water to get air, which makes them difficult to see in a low boat.

We just walked around the shops after taking the tender. Nothing special.

No excursion, the port is really not worth going to, a long tender ride and the port itself is small and not very clean or exciting

Was afraid to do anything very crime rated armed guards at Gates shopping center head 8 fenced in barbed wire fence around it very expensive shops people very rude and pushy

Went to Caye Caulker to spend the day and hung out at Bambooze.

We just walk around utsde the pier area and talk to the locals and eventually get a taxi driver to drive us around the area for a few hours and they are very cheap and super informative. They will gladly take you to the real mom and pop restaurant for some real cooking.
