Did not care for the port area - small with everything on top of itself but we only have about 45 minutes to look around. We did an amazing excursion that required a rather lengthy boat shuttle but was well worth the time.

What a nice surprise! We initially were going to stay on the ship for a quiet recoup day midway through the cruise. But when our day at Grand Cayman was cancelled we decided to go cave tubing at Belize. We booked through Carnival due to concerns with the distance to the excursion. We returned with about 2 hours to spare, so no problems there. The bus ride was comfortable and the tour guides were fun and informative. We passed the Sleeping Giant mountain formation on the ride to the caves. It was pretty cool to see. The walk to the caves was about 40 minutes at a slow pace and our guide Dennis had great knowledge if the nature along the path. The cave tubing was great. Our bus guide Tarik suggested we try the drink called the Panty Ripper, very good! And the food at the cave park was also good, Belize tacos. Take the cave tubing excursion, you'll never forget it.

Not a fan of this port. Took the tour of the town. This would be a much nicer place if the people cared about it more. Trash is everywhere. If they would clean it up it would be a nicer place.

While the port here is a little bland (although you can walk around it for a little while), you are probably going to want to see more of the city. If so, take the train tour because it really gives you a quick and good idea of what Belize is about. Also, they give you some plantain chips to eat! We took the Belize and Rum Factory Tour, it was a great tour not hard to find the meeting place. Cardinal was very knowledgeable of the island, fun and a very good host. I would take this excursion again .

We did the cave tubing excursion. A lot of fun. The lunch was good as well. Everyone was really nice during this excursion. The only complaint is the tender is kind of long to the port and bus ride is kind of long to the caves. South side Belize City rough too. So be careful lol.

We did the Lamanai excursion here. It was about a mile walk in and then you can choose whether you want to climb to the top of the ruin. I think any of my kids 3 and up could do this excursion.
