Review summary
Our first cruise was with a small, older ship on Carnival. We did not do our research and suffered the consequences. I picked what seemed to be one of the best of Princess’s ships. The food was fine - nothing spectacular unless you upcharge for the restaraunts. I didn’t feel like this was a ship I would take my kids on and I probably wouldn’t choose this ship again for just my husband and me. There didn’t seem to much tailored to kids at all. There were plenty of food places and entertainment throughout the day and the evening. There were a few pools. But nothing that just really makes me want to go back on that specific ship. The workers are fantastic - there’s always someone taking away used dishes and asking if there’s anything they can help with. I did enjoy most of our ports and the excursions we chose.Embarkation

Food and Dining
Coffee & Cones
Coming from carnival where it was 24/hr self-serve, they seem a bit stingy with their ice cream on Princess. They serve you and quite a small amount - so plan on asking for extra on the onset or go back for more! They also close down when the other food bars do.
Crown Grill
Absolutely outstanding.

Ship tip
I wouldn’t bring my kids on this cruise. There are many other ships out there that provide more kid tailored entertainment.
