The port area of Belize was okay. Yeah, I know, most islands have some "pockets" of poverty, but most of what we saw in Belize was "blah". We drove over an hour through unattractive territory to do cave tubing and ziplining. Absolutely not worth it! Both adventures were just okay. Did the caves 6 months ago in Cozumel (Carmen del Playa) and it was much more fun and exciting!

Belize city is not worth to sightsee. Get an excursion to a private island and enjoy the beautiful sea.

Only visited the port, all the shops and ate food!! So nice!! Next time I will go to the ruins! It was supposed to rain so we didn’t plan anything but ended up being really sunny!!

Swam with nuff sharks and stingrays. Not gonna lie this scared me. Didn’t realize we would be in the middle of the ocean. Over all. Glad we had the experience. The snorkel over the largest living barrier reef was breathtaking.

We did an excursion to the Mayan ruins. It was tons of fun but be prepared to walk a lot.

We took the Lamanai Ruin excursion and had an amazing time. Our main guide they called Dr. Phil and he was very informative and fun. The tour included a bus ride to the main building (about an hour, in an air conditioned and comfortable bus), a 30 minute boat ride, a complete tour of the ruins (with the ability to climb one if you were interested, which I totally recommend) and lunch. The food was amazing including locally seasoned Chicken (not spicy), beans and rice, plantains and a drink. There was a bar to purchase alcohol if you wanted. I totally recommend this excursion!

We booked our excursion through Shipmate. We had a more private time! There were 4 of us and we went in a van and he stopped at a local grocery store on the way..yes it is a bit of a long drive..but he told us all about the country and the history. When we arrived to our zip line and tubing area we did NOT have to wait for anyone. We were welcomed and taken care of and we had the time of our lives! After ziplining we did the cave tubing. He actually took us on a longer tube ride where the others from Carnival got off, we floated for about another 30 minutes. This was our favorite excursion! Dave was incredible. He ordered lunch for us for $10 each and we were able to eat while we drove back to the ship. He got us back in time and we were so grateful! Just the best experience ever!!
