Great place. Historical sites and landmarks are great. Be prepared for some high pressure sales tactics if you show any interest in the hand made rugs. If you stand your ground, you might get a reasonably good deal. The rug market is not for the timid or unprepared.

First time here. It was Ramadan so things opened up quite late. Port was great but my shore excursion didn't include what it advertised to include. (This was reported and restitution made.)

Visited the Hassan II Mosque (quite spectacular.....😳). Then on to Azemmour village to see the square & the fortifications. Visited El Jadida to see the incredible water cisterns👍

The Casablanca visit was cancelled and replaced with Tangier which we loved despite it being cold! I rode a camel (technically a dromedary) which was cool and we took a guided tour around the Kasbah which was fascinating. Other passengers mentioned feeling a little vulnerable in the centre, but we had no such concerns. We met some lovely locals who were very pleased to see us tourist.

Horrible port and destination. The Mosque was nice, but our tour guide kept taking personal cell phone calls interrupting the tour while in the mosque. Was told we would go to the markets, then when we got there they were closed. Peddlers everywhere trying to peddle watches, T-shirts and anything else they could try. Would never go to this port again. The entire city was dirty and nasty.
