We did the Imperial Rabat excursion. The guide was good but one stop at the carpet store was very disappointing. It was a chance to buy something but it was all very expensive and no one was interested. The vendor came down 200% from initial offer before I even made an offer. It was crazy. We spent more time at the shop negotiating a non purchase than at the mosque that Casablanca is famous for.

I thought this was a very interesting port but the povery level, lack of cleanliness, and no public bathrooms made us uneasy. This port had a lot of culture but if you are looking for the "movie" feel...watch the DVD instead!

The local meal was amazing, and a trip to the markets. Wish we would have had longer in the market and skipped the department store and the tomb of some king and his concubines.

We took the Rick's Place excursion and it was awful. The guide walked us forever because the restaurant didn't open until Noon. (start the excursion later) The food at the location was so limited it was embarrassing. We asked to get safron in the market which the guide ignored after asking him more than once. Instead he took us to a corner store where they intimidated us into buying a more expensive product. We didn't buy.

Port terminal was too far and too dark to walk to ship. There was no security at all and we couldn't find the immigration office which we thought was a warehouse. NCL should assign some if there personnel and spread them out along the terminal. Poor signage.

We had visited Casablanca before and still found it exciting and stimulating.
