16 Night Transatlantic Westbound (Savona To Ft. Lauderdale)
Sail Date: November 29, 2007
Ship: Costa Mediterranea
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Couple
Reviewed: 7 years ago
The Costa Mediterranea is truly a beautiful ship. Not a detail was overlooked. What was surprising was that there were so few English speaking people aboard the ship which sailed from Italy. We were aboard another Costa ship years ago in the Caribbean and the make-up of the passengers was entirely different. Had we been informed about the fact that this ship (and Costa in general) caters to Euorpeans, we might have thought twice about booking this cruise.

We have visited Santa Cruz De Tenerife twice before and marvel at how cosmopolitan it can be for an island.

We had been to Barcelona twice before and definitely recommend this city to anyone who has not seen it, particularly the Gaudi buildings.

We had visited Casablanca before and still found it exciting and stimulating.
Don't Miss: Don't miss the shopping and the bargaining!

Pros: The ship was truly magnificent and the ports were so interesting.

Cons: Unfortunately, out of 2,500 passengers, only about 300 spoke English and of those only about 100 were Americans.

Recommends Costa Mediterranea? No.
