I didn’t get off the boat here because I have leg issues and can’t walk to the port. I really wish they would provide pedicabs like Cozumel does, maybe one day they will. I gave it a 5 because the person I was cruising with got a massage there and a meal and she loved it!!!

We had a private tour of just 5 people, that we booked through CruisesOnly and it was really informative. Our guide was very knowledgeable and warm. He talked to us the whole two our ride to Chichen Itza. He made the trip go really fast. Rode in a very nice air conditioned van! At the ruins he tried to make sure we had plenty of shade whenever we could. Take water!! You will need it!!!

We did not do an excursion and wasn't planning on getting off of the ship but due to a scheduling issue onboard, my wife and I decided to do some site seeing. I wasn't impressed with the shopping and site seeing, however everyone we talked to that did excursion in Progreso had nothing but good things to say.

This port is horrible. If you do a shore excursion I guess it might be ok as a way to go elsewhere. But overall it is run down and dilapidated. There are police patrols to keep tourists safe but it looks like you are walking through the ghetto to get to the beach. Not a safe feeling at all. I don't see any reason to return...ever.

Lots of photo ops. I did the Blue Hole Cenote excursion and it was AWESOME!!!!! The journey was so worth it. Beautiful and eerie and sacred all in one. There are a lot of typical places to shop, but I could care less about that part. It’s all about the artwork and the adventure here! Check out as much as you can. Bring sunscreen and DEET based insect repellent, but be warned if you do excursions in sacred sites, you will have to remove it. There are hornets, black and white wasps, biting flies, and really cool looking ants the further out you go.

The tour guide was very good. Had several conversations with her. We did this excursion 5 years ago. Food was good. Pool is always nice. Beach was nice. Drinks were good. Got some shells for my collection. Hubby likes to sit and relax. The games in pool area were fun. Overall a good day. Great weather
